23.10.2014 20:54

The four German teams had a very strong evening in UEFA Champions League as they all won their matches. For the first time after three matchdays all Germans are on first or second spot. Borussia Dortmund, FC Bayern Munich and Bayer 04 Leverkusen even lead their group, BVB and FCB with nine points. FC Bayern made the good start on Tuesday as they beat AS Roma 7:1, the best result on foreign ground in their long international cup history, while FC Schalke was pretty lucky to win 4:3 against Sporting, mainly thanks to a late penalty that should not have been given. Dortmund followed on Wednesday as they crushed Galatasaray Istanbul 4:0 in Turkey. Leverkusen meanwhile won 2:0 against Zenit. For the first time since season 96/97 Dortmund have nine points after three matches – with a goal difference of 9:0. Dortmund and Bayern both only need one point to almost secure their survival.
