Strong Sunday on matchday nine
The stronger matchups on matchday nine in Bundesliga will take place on Sunday. VFB Stuttgart will meet Eintracht Frankfurt, FC Bayern will face Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Moenchengladbach will be guest in Hanover. Dortmund will play in Freiburg on Saturday.
The three strongest encounters on paper will take place on Sunday on matchday nine in Bundesliga. VFB Stuttgart will meet the surprise team of the season Eintracht Frankfurt in the afternoon, FC Bayern will face off with Bayer 04 Leverkusen later on while Borussia Moenchengladbach will have to fight for the points with Hanover 96.
FC Bayern are looking to set the next record by winning nine out of nine to start the season and Frankfurt will be trying to continue where they left last week against Hanover. The other four teams of the Sunday matches all have played rather successfully in Europe League on Thursday.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen had no problems with Rapid Vienna winning 4-0. Hanover won their match against Helsingborgs IF with 2-1. The score was 1-0 for Hanover up to minute 90 but the Swedish team equalized in last minute. Hanover´s Didier Ya Konan however scored just seconds later for the victory.
Borussia Moenchengladbach´s home game against Olympique Marseille ended 2-0 for Lucien Favre´s team. VFB Stuttgart´s attempts were mostly harmless resulting in a goalless draw against Copenhagen.
Dortmund in Freiburg
Borussia Dortmund had quite the strange week in terms of emotions. On Saturday they lost the prestigious “Revierderby” against nemesis Schalke and played pretty poorly. Just four days later they defeated Real Madrid in Champions League with a stunningly strong performance.
On Saturday they will meet SC Freiburg. Christian Streich´s team is on the uptick sitting pretty on position seven with eleven points. They could surpass Dortmund by winning but BVB will be looking to prevent them from doing so as they need the points not to lose touch with upper parts of the chart themselves.
Schalke 04 receives 1. FC Nuremberg at the same time. Schalke will be highly motivated as they beat Arsenal in London on Wednesday and are on a strong roll this season only beaten by FC Bayern Munich in Bundesliga.
HSV meet Augsburg
Hamburger SV will play against FC Augsburg on Friday night already. Thorsten Fink´s team was on the uptick until last matchday where Stuttgart defeated them in Hamburg ending their little run. HSV will be looking to get back on track against FCA that have gained four points out of the last two.
More games on Saturday will be between Mainz 05 and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, Greuther Fuerth and Bremen as well as Fortuna Duesseldorf and VFL Wolfsburg. VFL are struggling hard currently being on last position in chart. That resulted in Wolfsburg firing Felix Magath on Thursday.
