Stuttgart qualified for Europa League
VFB Stuttgart managed to qualify for this year´s Europa League season. After beating Dynamo Moskau with 2-0 in Stuttgart a 1-1 draw was enough to secure proceeding to group phase. Hanover 96 is heading into Thursday´s match almost qualified after beating Wroclaw with 5-3 in Poland last week. Gladbach´s dreams for Champions League are all but over as they lost the first qualify match 1-3 on home turf against Kiev.
VFB Stuttgart will play in Europa League this campaign. Bruno Labbadia´s eleven managed to secure proceeding to Europa League´s group stage in two qualify matches against Dynamo Moskau. After beating the Russians in Stuttgart 2-0 last week the 1-1 draw was enough to seal the deal. Vedad Ibisevic scored the importand away goal for VFB. It will be decided on Friday which teams Stuttgart will face in Europa League.
Hanover 96 just need to not get crushed in the second match against Poland´s current champion Slaska Wroclaw. The first match in Poland ended 5-3 for Hanover and put them into group stage almost certainly. If the match on Thursday night will go down as expected 96 will be playing in Europa League.
Things look pretty bad on the other hand for German Champions League aspirant Borussia Moenchengladbach. Lucien Favre´s team lost the first qualification match against Dynamo Kiev with 1-3 on home turf and needs a miracle in Kiev on Wednesday night to stay in the competition.
