Top 4 teams encounter each other
Matchday 13 of German Bundesliga is coming and everybody hopes to see some extraordinary football. The current top four teams will encounter each other. Third ranked Werder Bremen will play against fourth ranked Borussia Moenchengladbach. On Saturday night first placed Bayern Munich will face current champion and second placed Borussia Dortmund.
FC Bayern Munich has been more or less unstoppable this season. Only two teams managed to win three points against Germany´s record title holder so far. Now current champion and second ranked in chart Borussia Dortmund will come to the Allianz Arena for the ultimate encounter.
For Dortmund it will be the start to a breathtaking week. Bayern, Arsenal London and Schalke on next weekend will be the schedule for BVB.
Dortmund have won both matches last campaign, but never managed to win three in a row against Munich. FCB had won all three matches before that after being 0-1 behind.
Right now Dortmund is the German team with the longest not-losing streak, but it might come to an end on Saturday. FCB have won the last nine home games in Bundesliga, Cup and Champions League.
At 15:30 on Saturday Werder Bremen will be a guest in Gladbach. For the first time since 1995 this game is a top match in chart: third ranked against fourth place. For the last three years the statistics have been balanced between the two: two draws, wins and losses each.
More Games on Saturday will be: Schalke 04 against 1. FC Nuremberg, SC Freiburg against Hertha BSC Berlin, 1. FC Cologne against Mainz 05 and VFL Wolfsburg against Hanover 96.
On Friday night 1. FC Kaiserslautern will face Bayer 04 Leverkusen. FCK have not lost a game in four. Bayer have not won a game in eight.
VFB Stuttgart will have to play against promoted Augsburg on Sunday afternoon. For the first time this campaign Augsburg goes into a matchday as last placed in chart. Last time VFB played against a 18th ranked team this season they lost (HSV, matchday 7).
Hamburger SV will round up the matchday on Sunday night with the game against TSG Hoffenheim. HSV have to win to prevent a new historic negative record. They have not won a home game for 10 games straight. New Coach Thorsten Fink is also still looking for his first win in Bundesliga with HSV.
